Our Projects & Events
Guild Charity Projects - monthly-every third Wednesday (see Calendar)
One of the most central functions of our Guild is using our talents to serve others. Our charity activities are many and open to all our members. You don't have to be an expert quilter to help! The main venue for our charity sewing are our monthly "sew-ins" at Stitch Off Seventh Sewing Studio at 601 Nikles Drive in Bozeman. Watch the Calendar for date changes in 2020. Also, please contact our Charity Chair, Donna Gollehon at email@example.com for more info or questions.
Wednesday, November 20: 1-6p.m. : Our main focus for November will be finishing up our lap quilts for "Be a Santa for a Senior". We have already finished 9 lap quilts adn have over 15 more completed or nearly completed. Our goal is to have them all done so they can be wrapped as gifts by December 9. Gift wrapping will be on Monday, December 9 at Dahl Funeral Home from 9:00a.m. - 5:00 p.m. If you love to wrap you are welcome to participate in a "drop-in" volunteer capacity.
Wednesday, December 18: 1-6p.m. : We will be making twin size quilts for our homeless students in the Gallatin Valley. All hands on deck for this important task!

GUILD DONATES QUILTS TO ANOTHER HABITAT FOR HUMANITY HOME!!
5 Quilts made by our Charity Projects volunteers were presented to the residents of a new Habitat home on Saturday, September 7. Guild Charity Committee Chair Linda Fisher and President Mary Bushing, along with Guild member Barbara Beller, were on hand to distribute the quilts and share in the family's joy! They were allowed to tour the new home.
Thanks to all our Guild members who participate in Charity Sew days to help make events like this possible!
Thanks to Barbara Beller for the photos!
Special Presentation to Family Promise!
Mary Jo Lusin, a Guild member involved with Family Promise and Linda Fisher, Chair of the Guild Charity Committee, presented a signature quilt to the Director of Family Promise at our January meeting. Created by the Charity Committee members, it had labels which were signed by the folks who had participated in Family Promise the past year. It will be displayed at Family Promise headquarters! Thank you to all the members of the committee who worked on the various projects this last year.
The Guild also recieved special "thank you" notes from the participants of the fabric bags created for those participating in the "Mending in the Mountains" event for the Cancer Support Center. Those thank you notes are in the file below..click on the file name to open the pdf.
Enjoy, and consider being a part of this committee! We meet every third Wednesday of the month at Stitch Off Seventh! Hope to see you there!
