Welcom to the Gallatin Quilt Guild Charity Sew Page! We're excited to have you join us!

The photos below are of the Charity Chairs Bev Palm and Mary Bushing presenting Rob McCormick, director of Love Inc. with three quilts to be distributed throughout the Gallatin County Community. These three were part of 20 quilts that were presented to this organization. There was a brief presentation outlining where these quilts go, how they are distributed and thanking the guild for meeting this need.

March 18 - BACKPACKS FOR HOPE LUTHERAN Hope Lutheran Ladies will supply kits. The packs are distributed by Lutheran World Relief, primarily in the Ukraine and in parts of Africa, with the hope of supporting education in those communities where school supplies are hard to obtain. Hope Youth Group will fill the bags. Again these can be sewn at home - we hope you’ll take some kits if you can’t come to our sew day. They need them by May 1 - we can use your help!! Instructions are below.

April 18 - Fidget Quilts -  These are SO MUCH FUN! We’ll be making small quilts (see instructions below). We have lots of embellishments - in case you need some! We’ll bring them to the sew days. If you would like to make these at home, instruction are below. These will be given to Memory Care units in our Care Centers for their residents. The deadline for any that you make at home is the August Guild meeting on August 8. As always, you can contact us at charity@gallatinquiltguild.com to make arrangements to give them to us before then.

We do plan to add a few more Saturday Sew Days for those  who can’t come for these Tuesday Sew Days. We’ll post those locations/dates and times here. Our Saturday Sew Days will be for Charity projects in the mornings and bring your own projects for the afternoons! We’re looking forward to seeing you all at our Sew Days!!

NOTE:  Donations of fabric, quilt tops, and unfinished quilts may be accepted or rejected by Committee Chair and Co-chairs according to need and space available.  All other donations may be used at Guild fund raising events such as Garage Sales, etc. and stored by donator.   If we find we are in need of fabric or tops a call will be sent out.  We know how generous our Guild members are but we do not have the space to store all that is given.
