Our Projects & Events

Guild Charity Projects - monthly-every third Wednesday (see Calendar)

One of the most central functions of our Guild is using our talents to serve others.  Our charity activities are many and open to all our members.   You don't have to be an expert quilter to help!  The main venue for our charity sewing are our monthly "sew-ins" at Stitch Off Seventh Sewing Studio at 601 Nikles Drive in Bozeman. These "sew-ins" are free to members who come to help. If you don't have a charity project of your own you are working on, we have some you can help with!   Please see the Calendar for scheduled days.  Also, please contact our Charity Chair, Linda Fisher at charity@gallatinquiltguild.com for more info or questions.

Last year Gallatin Quilt Guild made cloth bags for the Cancer Survivors Retreat held in conjunction with Bozeman's Cancer Support Community, a non-profit organization specializing in the care and support of cancer patients and their families.  This year you will have the option of creating that same bag, or a different style, the "Fold-Up Shopper", detailed at left.  Tracy J. Hickey, the designer of the bag, has given permission to use her pattern for our charity purposes.  At our Charity Sew Day on April 18, Donna Gollehan will teach the technique to make this bag.    We'd like to make as many bags as possible!!  Please consider coming to help us out!!

Handwork Club - Join Us!!  (see Calendar)

`The club will be meeting at the Sourdough Fire Department, 4541 S. 3rd, Bozeman, on the first Monday of every month (unless holidays, etc. dictate otherwise.  Check the Guild Calendar).  Bring your handwork of any type and join your "sisters in stitches"!  Questions?  Contact Carol Gouveia at handwork@gallatinquiltguild.com .
